Describe a character from the book. Say why you like or dislike the character.

I go on to describe the character of Mr. Birling. In his very first sentences he seemed so unlikeable to me. He seemed to be arrogant and capitalistic. Because he makes long speeches and talks about business. Obviously he knows his part and postion within his familiy. He wants to have everything under controll. He believes that socialist ideas stress the importance of the community and are nonsense. He thinks a man has to go his own way. I don’t agree with a selfish view like this. We can see clear, it’s not working like that. He also makes some old- fashioned comments. He wants to protect his area when the inspector arrived. And at the moment when the inspector wanted to have a talk to Sybill Birling he asked him, why his wife should answer the questions. So it seems like, that he likes to decide to whom Mrs. Birling talks to. I also interpret that he needs to focus on materialistic things because he is a full hearted business man. But he wants to protect himself and his family, something i like about his character. In summary i don’t like his character. I like more people who can be emotional and think social. 1. very good. By the way, it's always good to use a spell checker when writing anything. You can avoid typos and improve you spelling. For example to know that control is written with one "l" (not: controll).
