Write about the rhythm or tone of the text.

There are mostly short sentences from each person. It has some dramatic pauses and interruptions. There are also a lot changes in tone. Mr. Birling is a good instance. At the beginning he is very confident and discourse a speech that there won’t be a war and that the titanic won’t sink. First he seems very strong but then when he realized that he also take response for Eva’s death, his mood change into self- justification finally into axiety. The Rhythm is through the complete plot in tension. In the beginning the audience focus on Mr. Birling and his propensity to hubris. After the Inspector’s arriving, the main tension lies on finding out why Eva has killed herself. It comes along with quick changes within the dialogue, these are used to reveal the different actor’s emotional conditions. The dramatic pauses are used to create a dramatic cliff- hanger. Also by varying the fluency and length can the plot be controlled. In the best way, it needs both parts. Longer speeches to deliver ideas. By short and snappy dialogues the speed of action is getting higher. (200 more or less)
